Happy Feet 2
On this show I participated as a large lighting team, performing key-light and shot lighting tasks. In a link above they are my shots I lit and rendered in Houdini using 3Delight. It was my first animated feature film, and I enjoyed it so very much!

Gottes Mächtige Dienerin
During a year at Spice Shop, I had a great opportunity to supervise a German TV movie, Gottes Mächtige Dienerin, aka God’s Mighty Servant, directed by Markus Rosenmülle. We had roughly 3 months to finish up 93 shots which mainly were comping tasks. Out of 93 shots, there were about 10 shots that required CG elements integration into live action plates which were shot with RED. On this show, we did everything in Maya and Nuke and a bit of Houdini. It was a nice project to be on.

Sony – Superstar
The latest piece I worked on as a 3d lead at Framestore London. My task was to set up the sprite crowd system in Houdini. It’s actually my first project at Framestore leading a small 3d houdini team, 4 people including me. Sprite shader was taken care by Dragos Stefan. In this project, there are more than 50 shots that four of us had to render out, and it’s a very tight schedule. Mantra was what we used.

DJ Hero
Basically, my main tasks on this project are texturing all main characters, lighting and rendering shots. Towards the end of the project, I helped out on shaders for some props as well. I could say that this project was the most enjoyable project I worked on during my time at Framestore.

Pepsi – Rising
In this project, I got a chance light and render piles of various objects, which were procedurally set up in Houdini by other Houdini TDs, in some shots. At that time I was assigned to work on DJ Hero, but Pepsi had a very tight schedule and more houdini artists were needed, so the producer pulled me off from DJ Hero for a bit to help out on Pepsi. I was happy to swap back and forth between the two as both were very cool projects to work on.

Audi Quattro – Urban Carver
In this project, lighting and rendering shots are what I mainly took care of. I did a bit of hand tracking on some shots needed. It’s a nice project after working on many fur jobs – nice little break from furry animals.

Texturing, lighting and rendering were my contribution to this lovely project. Again, it’s all rendered with Renderman.

Monster.com – Stork
This was very exciting for me as it is the first project at Framestore. I helped to set up the dynamic system a bit, and I lit and rendered two shots – storm shots. First time I experienced Renderman, which is very cool!
